S. Shanmugam obtained LLB with Honours from University of London 1993 and Master Of Business Administration in 2002 from Victoria University Of Technology. Prior to joining Netto & Magin LLC, Shanmugam worked as a legal counsel in a listed construction industry SME. He has more than 10 years of experience in performing corporate and commercial work.
He has drafted many commercial agreements including franchising, licensing, joint venture and construction agreements in the oil and gas industry. During his time as a legal counsel, he was involved in many litigation matters including arbitration. He has also represented clients in criminal matters and personal injury claims.
He has also acted as advisor and council in a number adjudication cases under Building & Construction Industry Security of Payment Act (SOP cases).
Presently, he continues to be actively involved in solicitors’ and general litigation work.
